This is best explained with an example:
Let's say a Shanghai company is manufacturing quality mountain bikes and want to sell them here in Germany. You sales agent first selects a dozen of German sports wholesalers or bicycles importers. He will call the 12 potential buyers in German language (which is very important!, … building up trust by talking initially about the weather here in Europe right now, or about Germany's ranking at football soccer bundesliga). Then you sales agent is informing the lead about a good EuroPrompt client (your company) that offers excellent mountain bikes in great quality. He will assure his German business friend that your company is reliable and has excellent references. This brings a lot of trust so that the German buyer will look into your product offers in detail (visiting your company profile and product portfolio here at the EuroPrompt B2B marketplace). More phone calls will follow - more trust is being build up - your agent offers the potential buyer more details, brochures, white papers, TÜV or CE certificates or will provide them with a copy of your business license or certificate of incorporation ... all to assure the buyer that your company is perfectly capable to deliver quality mountain bikes in a timely and honest manner - hence building up more trust. When the buyer requests a product sample we will ship the sample from our German warehouse within 1 day so that the buyer (which is now a hot lead) does not need to wait 3 weeks until the sample arrives from China or that he has trouble with German customs authorities when receiving a bike from Shanghai. Finally … 1 out of 12 potential buyers will agree to place their first order for initial 200 bikes. Required is, however, that your products are indeed in excellent quality and that there is no trouble with fulfillment and shipment of your first order. If the buyer is satisfied, he will order more - perhaps 2,000 bikes - next time. Europeans tend to continue to order from the same source when they have had good experience with you.
