X-ray Doors.
Posted: 05 Jul 2011 X-ray doors. Radiation-proof doors are obligatory for rooms housing X-ray equipment. They are made with lead plates inside which are 2mm thick or more, and doors with glazed parts can be supplied. Door cases can be made of steel, aluminium or wood. |

Designed and manufactured to meet the following requirements:
Radiography areas must be protected by a layer of lead.
The door is the way into this area and must have the same insulating properties as the walls.
Doors must be protected internally with a single sheet of lead running the complete height and width of the door.
The gap between the bottom of the X-ray door and the floor must be kept as small as is practically and reasonably possible.
The joints must have an overlap of at least 1cm or twice the thickness of the lead sheet.
There must also be lead in the glazed components.

- Leaf made up of panels of particle board with a 2mm protective lead plate in the middle. Frame of vaporised beechwood, marine plywood or HP COMPACT (high-pressure particle board) with plywood or Compact HPL panel surfaced on both sides with 2.5mm thick high-pressure laminate in the colours in the CUBLIC series (in stock). |
